2027: Anambra APC Endorses Tinubu's Re-election Bid

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has received an overwhelming backing for his 2027 reelection bid from the Anambra State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

His endorsement came on the heels of the call by ex-Senator representing Anambra North Senatorial zone, Emma Obiajulu Anosikefor at a well-attended Stakeholders interactive meeting of the party held at the State Secretariat in Awka. 

During the meeting which held on Monday, February 17 but dovetail into Wednesday, the party reiterated that the president's anticipated re-election will strengthen the national economy, party unity and rebuilding its political structures. 

The meeting enabled the party to tidy up the harmonization of issues ahead of the state's Ward, Council and State Congresses which kicked off today, Feb 18, with the Ward Congress in the 326 electoral Wards in Anambra.

At the meeting, the party State Chairman, Chief Basil Ejidike, disclosed that the party’s main goal was to mobilize members across the 21 Councils and 326 Wards of the state in political collaboration with the State-ruling All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA to achieved at least 95 per cent increase in votes for President Tinubu victory in 2027 presidential poll.

Ejidike admitted that the unanimous endorsement of Tinubu's reelection bid was to ensure he returns in landslide victory. "Anambra APC is very much happy because, the State governor, Chukwuma Charles Soludo is equally supporting the reelection of Tinubu.

According to him, unity remains the foundation of any meaningful political progress, said:

“No political strategy, no matter how transparent can succeed in an atmosphere of division. Our foremost responsibility is unity.

"The‘One APC, One Tinubu Project’ must be our guiding principle in Anambra State."

The Chairman emphasised that the party leadership under his watch in line with Tinubu's expectations, requires harmony, collaboration, and coordinated mobilisation across the 21 LGAs in the state.

“Our grassroots structures must be vibrant, functional and connected to the people. Every ward, every unit and every community must feel the presence and impact of the APC led- government in Nigeria.

"This is how we will consolidate our gains and deliver an even more convincing victory for President Tinubu in the next election". He reiterated that the Anambra State APC is fully prepared to ensure that President Tinubu is re-elected in 2027.

In his presentation, the party candidate at the November 8, 2025 governorship election in the state, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, his runningmate, Senator Uche Ekwinife and the Senatorial by-election-Chief Azuka Okwusa described the meeting as the largest APC stakeholders’ assembly since the conclusion of the 2025 governorship election in the state. They expressed delight that peace has evidently returned to Anambra APC.
