The Hope Alive Initiative, HAI, a pro-good governance and civic engagement group, has rolled out a multi-platform grass-roots campaign as part of its first phase drive in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in the 2027 presidential election.

The roll-outs, which coincide with the commencement of the 2027 election campaign season, combine street-level mobilisation, including traditional and digital media platforms, human mascots, a city-wide SMS campaign, a weekly Pidgin-language radio programme and an original campaign jingle.

The development is contained in a statement signed by HAI's Director of Press and Communications, Ernest Omoarelojie.

According to him, HAI's support for the President's re-election is anchored on the administration’s “bold reforms and initiatives” visible from the manner he is laying the foundation for Nigeria’s long-term economic and institutional development, all of which are attested to by global rating agencies.

HAI also cited reforms in the petroleum sector, which it said had helped end perennial fuel scarcity and encouraged the expansion of private refineries; greater stability in the foreign exchange market; increased government revenue, foreign reserves; efforts to strengthen Local Government autonomy; police and internal security reforms; the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND); tax reforms; and extensive road infrastructure projects in the Federal Capital Territory and across the country.

“While these reforms have come with short-term challenges, we believe they are difficult but necessary steps towards a more sustainable, prosperous and better governed Nigeria,” HAI said.

The campaign's opening phase, Omoarelojie noted, will feature four major initiatives that will deliver the message directly to citizens and expand its reach across different segments of the population.
