Anambra Communities Host State Police Boss

Awka, Anambra State capital and neighbouring communities played host to the state police boss, CP Ikioye Orutugu.
In an event they described as his return for a second tenure, the traditional ruler of Awka, Obi Gibson Nwosu, who spoke on behalf of other community leaders, expressed satisfaction and appreciation over his efforts at reducing insecurity in the state and pledged their support for his initiatives.
The outcome, the monarch said, is an indication that his efforts have been well-received by the communities. He pledged a shared commitment by the communities to continue working together towards enhancing security across the state.
In his response, the police boss emphasized the importance of collaboration between the police and the community in maintaining security.
While highlighting the success of their partnership which he said led to the hitch-free outcome of the recent "Egwu Imo Awka festival," he urged all the community leaders and other stake holders to continue enlightening the youth on the dangers of crime.
