Breaking! OceanGate, Coast Guard, Say All Five Tourists In Titan Are Dead
Tourist that died in the titan

“We believe they have all been lost”

With those ominuous words, both the US Coast Guard and OceanGate Expeditions confirmed the horrible death of the five tourists, including the pilot of Titan submersible, which disappeared on Sunday minutes after it dived on an expedition to the wreckage of the legendary Titanic.

Wreckage of the sub, including the tail cone, has been found by a remotely controlled vehicle from Horizon Arctic, some 500meters (about 1,600ft) from Titanic bow. According to Rear Admiral John Mauger, First Coast Guard Commander, is consistent with what he referred to as “…catastrophic loss of pressure chamber.”

With experts concluding that the bodies of the tourists may never be found, Mauger is hopeful that the discovery will provide solace for the bereaved families at this difficult moment.

“Upon this determination, we immediately notified the families on behalf of the United StatesCoast Guard and the entire unified command. I offer my condolences to the families,” he said.

Guillermo Sohnlein, Co founder of OceanGate, was more direct in his assessment of the disaster. He disclosed that Titan may have been involved in what he referred to as "instantaneous implosion".

"What I do know is regardless of the sub, when you are operating at depth the pressure is so great on any sub that if there is a failure, it would be an instantaneous implosion. It that's what happened, that's what would have happened four days ago," Sohnlein said.

In its response, OceanGate confirmed that indeed, the sub has not only be involved in a disaster but that the five tourits also lost their lives in the unfortunate incident.

“We now believe that our CEO, Stockton Rush, Shahxada Dawood and his son, Suleman Dawood, Harmish Harding and Paul-Henri Nargeolet, have sadly been lost.

“These men were truly exploerers who shared a distinct spirit of adventure, and a deep passion for exploring and protecting the world’s oceans.

“Our hearts are with these five souls and every member of their families during this tragic time. We grieve the loss of life and joy they brought to everyone they knew,” OceanGate said in a statement.
