Former Nasarawa State Deputy Governor Kidnapped
Prof Former Nasarawa State Deputy Governor, Professor Onje Gye-Wado, has been abducted.
Former Nasarawa State Deputy Governor, Professor Onje Gye-Wado, has been kidnapped.
His abduction, disclosed in a press statement on Friday by the state police command spokesperson, DSP Rahman Nansel, took place in the early hours of the day following a break-in by gunmen into his Gwagi village residence in Wamba council area of the state.
Nansel added that the police and other security agencies have already activated a search and rescue operation for the former Deputy Governor.
Meanwhile, Nasarawa state police commissioner, CP Maiyaki Baba, has assured that efforts are in place to rescue the victim. He however, called on people with useful information that will aid the rescue operation to avail the police of same.
