Nigeria 0ut of Africa's Happiest Top 10 List
Nigeria has fail to qualify for Africa's top 10 happy people's list.

The World Happiness Report, containing a list of Happiest Countries in the globe, has been released. Interestingly, Nigeria is not listed among Africa's top 10 list contrary to its standing a few years ago.
According to te report, the top 10 happiest countries in Africa are Mauritius, Libya, Ivory Coast, South Africa, Gambia, Algeria, Liberia, Congo, Morocco and Mozambique.
The list, which sheds light on the nations where people enjoy the highest levels of well-being and satisfaction with their lives, is a publication of the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network, and contains statistical analysis to determine the world's happiest countries.
Among others, the ranking takes into consideration, a range of economic, social, and environmental factors, thus offering insights into what makes a country a great place to live.
A report on this year's release by CNN indicates that benevolence is about 25% higher than it was pre-pandemic.
“Benevolence to others, especially the helping of strangers, which went up dramatically in 2021, stayed high in 2022,” John Helliwell, one of the authors of the World Happiness Report, told CNN.
Generally, global happiness was not affected by the three years of the Covid-19 pandemic. The report noted that life evaluations from between 2020 and 2022 remained “remarkably resilient” with global averages remaining in line with the three years preceding the pandemic.
