Threat to Poison Yoruba, Edo People: Toronto Police Arrest Woman

Police in Toronto, Canada, have arrested the Nigerian Canadian woman, Amaka Sonnberger, who threatened to poison Yoruba and Edo people.

The arrest is sequel to a report the police received on Wednesday, August 28, 2924 over a threatening incident.

Ms Sonnberger, 46, posted an online content three days earlier threatening to unleash death on some members of the Nigerian community resident in Toronto.

She was arrested on Sunday, September 1, 2024, a police statement noted.

"The Toronto Police Service is making the public aware of an arrest made in a suspected hate-motivated threatening investigation," the statement said.

She is billed to make an appearance in courtroom 107 of the Ontario Court of Justice, 2201 Finch Avenue West, at 10:00 am today, Monday, September 2nd, 2024.
