We Get 60% Of Our Crude From NNPCL-Dangote Refinery
*Expresses gratitude over NNPCL's strong partnership.

The Dangote Refinery has confirmed that the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, supplies sixty per cent of its crude oil requirement.
The confirmation, a far cry from previous claims by the refinery, was made Wednesday by the Group Chief Strategy Officer, Dangote Refinery and Petrochemicals Company, Aliyu Suleiman. on Wednesday.
Suleiman made the confirmation while speaking in an interactive session organized by the Senate Ad-hoc committee set up to investigate alleged sabotage in the Nigerian petroleum industry.
The state obviously put to the test the position of the company's Group Chief Commercial Officer, Rabiu A. Umar, who claimed, while recently speaking to newsmen in Kano, that the NNPC has been supplying insufficient crude oil for its production demand.
Umar also claimed that NNPC supplies only 33 per cent of crude to the refinery, adding that the Dangote Refinery had to look elsewhere to source the remaining 67 per cent to meet its production capacity.
He added that with a 650,000 barrel per day refining capacity, the Dangote Refinery could not depend on short supply from Nigeria’s oil company.
However, Suleiman countered the claims during the presentation, noting that out of the five million barrels of crude oil the Dangote Refinery got in recent time, NNPC supplied 60 per cent, with 20 per cent imported, and another 20 per cent purchased.
Aliyu expressed gratitude for the strong partnership between the Dangote Refinery and the NNPC Ltd, and for making the huge supply to Dangote, describing the Dangote Refinery as a baby that should be supported by all relevant stakeholders in order to grow and not die
