Anambra Anambra 2025: Non-Indigenes Throw Their Weight Behind Ukachukwu

BY OMAH Ngozi, Awka.

Non-indigenes resident in Abatete, Idemili North Council area of Anambra state, have thrown their weight behind the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the November 8, 2025 governorship election,  prince Nicholas Ukachukwu.

The group, which spoke through its chairman, Chief Basil Oluoha Okeke, made disclosure on Sunday, October 12th, in a meeting organised by party's chairperson in the council area, Hon Lilian Okeke, as part of the mobilisation efforts towards ensuring the victory of the candidate in the election.

While assuring that non-indigenes are ready to play their roles in the election, Chief Okeke emphasised that the gesture was part of the general decision to provide the needed support for the candidate by building a broader coalition among stakeholders trough collective efforts.

He pointed out that the non indigenous are solidy behind the APC flag bearers insisting that they will support them massively as part of their civic responsibilities, noting that they will no longer be playing second fiddle in the scheme of things.

Non-indigenes are often marginalised or excluded from decision making processes despite their contribution to the community. But by the support given to Prince Ukachukwu, they are hopeful that they will be recognized and valued.
