Anambra Police Arrests Most Wanted Armed Robber/Cultist
*Recover operational vehicle, mmunition, other incriminating items.
Operatives of the Anambra State Police Command, on Saturday, scored another major goal when they nabbed a suspected Armed robber described as the most wanted criminal in the state.
Following the new intelligence and technology based policing plan, the team swooped on Anichede Akachukwu, aka, Star B, while he was receiving treatment from a bullet wound sustained in an earlier encounter with the police.
Akachukwu 18, a Confessed leader of the Vikings known to be terrorizing residents of both Ogbaru council area and parts of neighbouring Delta state, was nabbed in one of his operational bases in Uruagu village, Oba, Idemili South council area of the state, following a tip off.
Meanwhile, Akachukwu, alongside his other accomplices, have provided Police with information on their mode of operations and names of other gang members which is already aiding the ongoing investigation.
On Monday, operatives of the command also recovered a while Porches Cayenne jeep, with Reg No AGL 60 HJ Lagos, which is suspected to be the operational vehicle of the gang. It was recovered in Ihiala.
During a search of the vehicle, the operatives found a bag and discovered Twenty-Seven pieces of live 7.62m Ammunition, Three live cartridges, one-touch light, charms, and other incriminating items.
