Anambra Police Boss Hands Out N38.3m Welfare Cheques to Beneficiaries
Families of deceased officers and m received welfare cheques from Anambra Police command.
Anambra state Police commissioner, CP Echeng Echeng, has handed out cheques worth Thirty-Eight Million, Three Hundred and Sixty-Two Thousand, Seven Hundred and Twenty-Two Naira, Sixty-Seven Kobo, (38,362,722.67) to sixteen families of deceased men and officers of the command.
The gesture, second in three months, is the initiative of the Inspector-General of the Nigerian Police aimed at giving succour to the families and spurring others to greater services.
The cheques were presented to the next of kin in a brief ceremony at the command headquarters, Awka, on Wednesday.
While presenting the cheques, CP Echeng urged the beneficiaries to invest the fund wisely.
He also thanked the IGP for his relentless commitment to the welfare of the personnel of the Force which he said has helped in lifting the morale of serving officers and men.
CP Echeng assured the IGP that Officers and men of the Command will continue to put in their best to ensure that there is peace, security and safety in Anambra state.
