Anambra Police Burst Ihiala Based Criminal Den
*Rescued kidnap victim.
A crack team of security operatives comprising the police, military and vigilante group, under the Joint Task Force of the Anambra State Police Command, has busted a criminal hideout in Umuduru village, Ihiala council area.
The development is contained in a statement issued by command spokesperson, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, in Awka on Tuesday.
FreshNews learnt that the security team also rescued unhurt, a kidnap victim, who has since joined his family after being debriefed.
The discovery of the hideout is sequel to the arrest and subsequent confession of a suspect, name withheld, a few weeks ago.
The suspected criminal admitted being a member of a criminal/notorious kidnap gang terrorising the State, especially in Ihiala.
