Anambra Police Repels Unknown Gunmen Attack LGA property destroyed

Operatives of the Anambra Police Command early hours on Friday repelled an attack by yet to be identified attackers on Ogbaru council area of the state.

The gunmen, who came in their numbers, destroyed a number of property belonging to the council before the operatives responded and chased them away.

A statement issued by command spokesperson, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, noted however that no life was lost during the sad incident.

According to the statement, operatives are on the tail of the fleeing attackers adding that more details will be made available later.

"The security operatives gallantly resisted the gunmen. Some LGA properties were destroyed, some buildings were affected. No life was lost. The Joint Security operation is ongoing," the statement noted.
