Attempted Suicide: Anambra Police Rescue Man
*Places him on protective cusyody
Vigilante and proactive operatives of the Anambra Police Command, on Saturday rescued a young man who attempted to commit suicide.
The 27 year-old man identified as Alozie John, was rescued after the operatives intercepted and analyzed his WhatsApp conversation in which he gave hint of his intention.
The Ebonyi borne Alozie, in Umunnachi, Dunukofia council area of Ebonyi, said he ingested a poisonous substance apparently disconcerted by a supply Livestock debt of One Million, Two Hundred Thousand (N1, 200,000) Naira incurred from the supply of of Livestock products.
He was rescued, rendered medical assistance, debriefed and subsequently placed on protective custody.
Meanwhile, the police invited his mother to, among others, assist in his evaluation, reference and transfer to other facilities for further care.
