Bauchi Lawmaker Wanted by the Police
A House of Representatives member representing Bauchi Federal Constituency, has been declared wanted by the police for culpable homicide.
The Nigerian Police has declared a federal lawmaker, Yakubu Abdullahi Shehu, representing Bauchi federal Constituency, wanted.
The development is contained in a Special Police Gazette CB: 2685/Bsx/VOL.T/4s, made available to newsmen by the spokesperson of the Bauchi state police Command, Ahmed Wakil. Among others, the statement states that the House of Representatives member is wanted for alleged murder and other criminal offenses.
"The above person is hereby declared wanted by the Nigerian Police on CRO Form 5, issued by the Inspector General of of Police. He is wanted in connection a case of Criminal Conspiracy, Causing Grievous Hurt, Inciting Disturbance of Public Peace and Culpable Homicide. Anybody with information that could assist in his arrest should please contact; +08151849417 or report at any nearest Police Station."
The statement noted further that the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba, is also asking anyone with useful information about his whereabouts to contact the police, assuring that a prize of N1m bounty awaits any such individual that provides useful information leading to the law maker's arrest.
He is wanted in connection with a case of criminal conspiracy, causing grievous hurt, inciting disturbance of public peace, and culpable homicide.
