DSS Detains, Releases CBN Dep Governor
*Arrest not unconnected to financial mismanagement.

The Directorate of State Services, DSS, have questioned, detained and released a Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Kingsley Obiora.
In a report filed by an online news outlet, the Peoples Gazette, Dr Obiora was on Wednesday, arrested by the DSS which subsequently placed him under detention. He was however, released after being questioned over allegations of financial mismanagement under the leadership of the suspended CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele.
“This is sequel to the ongoing investigation of his office and the planned reforms in the financial sector of the economy,” a statement by the Director of Information, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Willie Bassey, said.
Details of the said arrest and detention are yet to be confirmed or made available by either the CBN or DSS.
