Ekweremadu's Wife Returns to Nigeria After Serving Jail Term

Beatrice, wife of former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, has returned to Nigeria after serving her jail term in the United Kingdom.

Beatrice, whose plane touched down at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on Tuesday, is returning to Nigeria almost two years after completing her jail term, following her conviction and sentence over organ harvesting charges.

She was received, upon her arrival, by friends and close relatives.

Her legal ordeals began in 2022 following an attempt by her family to procure a kidney for her daughter. However, matters came to a head when she, alongside her husband, was accused of wrongdoings in the process of securing a donor.
