A non-profit group, Sustenance of Faith in Governance, SOFIG, has embarked on the process of rallying more grassroots support and mobilization in support of the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu.
President of the grouo, Varr Kingskey Ezekwwlu, made the declaration at the flagoff of ita campaign across the 21 Council area of the state. The flagoof, he explained, involves mobilisation polling ununicanvassers across the state’s 326 electoral wards ahead the crucial November 8, 2025 governorship election.
While addressing the mammoth enthusiastic crowd, at Ifite Ogwari, Ayamelum Council area, Barrister Ezekwelu urged members of the Ikukuoma SOFIG Family to “make it a date with history” on November 8, 2025 by voting massively for the joint ticket of Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu and Senator Uche Ekwunife.
He described them as a perfect team endowed with the experience, credibility, and vision to reposition Anambra for greatness. He emphasised that at a time when the state stands at a political crossroads, Anambra needs a leadership that understands the pains of the people and has the willpower to deliver good governance.
“Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu has consistently demonstrated capacity, compassion, and commitment to the cause of Ndi Anambra. He represents integrity, development, and inclusiveness, qualities we urgently need to move our dear state forward,” Ezekwelu stated passionately. In his speech, Pastor Emeka Okonkwo,
Ayamelum Coordinator of the SOFIG Family, said Anambra deserves a people-oriented and transformational government that will restore hope and ensure development reaches every community. He noted that the All Progressives Congress, APC, ticket of Prince Ukachukwu and Senator Ekwunife offers the most credible path to achieve that vision.
“The desired change we have long yearned for can only come through a government led by Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu,” Pastor Okonkwo affirmed. “He is not only a leader with a proven record of philanthropy and vision but also a man who listens and acts decisively.
His partnership with Senator Ekwunife will ensure balanced representation, gender inclusion, and development across the three senatorial zones.” Pastor Okonkwo expressed disappointment over the current administration under the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, which, he said, has failed to fulfil its promises to the people of Ayamelum.
“It is heartbreaking that despite our loyalty and contributions, we have not witnessed the development we were promised. That is why we are aligning with a man of timbre and calibre, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, fondly known as Ikukuoma Ndi Igbo, whose leadership will restore dignity and direction to our politics,” he concluded.
The gathering, which attracted party faithful and supporters, was charged with optimism and renewed faith in the APC’s vision for Anambra. Elderly participants offered heartfelt prayers for the success of Prince Ukachukwu and Senator Ekwunife in the upcoming election, describing their joint candidacy as a divine arrangement for the liberation and transformation of Anambra State.
As the event drew to a close, it was clear that the message of change had deeply resonated with the people of Ayamelum. They saw it not merely as political mobilisation, but as the birth of a movement. With the November 8, 2025 election approaching, the people of Ayamelum are declaring boldly: the time for purposeful leadership is now, and the team to deliver it is Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu and Senator Uche Ekwunife.
