Group to Bode George: Your Counsel to Atiku Valueless, Envious and Tribalistic

In a stern repudiation to a birthday message released by a Board of Trustees member of the Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Olabode George, a pro-PDP group known as PDP Renaissance Group, in a press statement released by its National President Hon. Nurudeen Afolabi, has chastised him over his remarks on the political future of Atiku Abubakar.
In a statement released in Ibadan on Thursday counseled that Chief George should not act as god who knows the future, noting with dismay that the his attacks on Atiku were unwarranted and wanton.
“We will not forget in a hurry how Bode George was a mastermind of the unfortunate frictions that ensued between Atiku and President Obasanjo in 2003. But for Atiku’s large heart, he should have severed relationships with Bode George; but here we are with the same enemy passing verdict on Atiku’s political future.”
The group noted further that, “it is not Bode George’s call to make Atiku or anyone else not to contest for any office; he has no business in counselling anyone on their personal decisions.
“It is Atiku’s constitutional right to decide whether or not to run for a political office.
“In any case, there is no science that says that age is a limiting factor in leadership. Nature is intricate and dynamic. Everyone can see clearly that despite Atiku’s age, he remains physically fit and mentally alert and healthy.
“Chief George, given his age, too, should know too well that it is the Almighty that determines these things in the lives of the mortals.
“Age is not a prerequisite for good or bad health conditions. Thankfully, Atiku is still mentally and physically strong. His physiological age is very much in order, and it is on this note that we respectfully tell Bode George that his remarks on Atiku comes la basura.
“Few days ago, the American people elected a 79 year-old Donald Trump to lead them; it wasn’t by accident . Chief George is advised to concentrate on his errand masters such as the FCT minister, Wike and his Lagos major benefactor, Tinubu, who he continues to give clandestine support to destroy Lagos PDP over the years.
“We are aware of how Bode George will criticise Tinubu in the day and have dinner with him. What an unpatriotic elder.? “Of course, Chief Bode George will prefer a Tinubu to continue with his tyrannical government as long as his bills are paid. It is also easier for Bode to act as an attack dog on Atiku, knowing full well that Atiku remains the only one with adequate capacity to disloge Tinubu in 2027.
“It will be recalled how Chief Bode George who has never won a single election in his polling unit, worked against the party at both state and national levels. Bode George is not a politician in the strict sense of the word; he is at best a political fifth columnist. Such a posturing is a disgrace to his military service and background.
“How can a man who has no political capital, no matter how little, be maliciously counselling a former Vice President who has won elections, supported an enabled people to become state governors, a patriot, and a complete democrat, who has contributed immensely to the development of our democracy like Atiku to abandon Nigerians, especially at this critical moment when the Bode George’s covert paymaster, Tinubu, is failing the country? The call is totally ridiculous, lacks reason, logic and decorum from somebody of Bode George’s age.
“It is therefore time Bode George retired to his family or leave the country as he vowed to do, before 2023,
“if Tinubu won the election.”We urge Bode George to make true his vows without further delay. And if he’s not a man of his words, he should not have a word on the political future of Atiku.
“Chief George must realise that he is standing alone because NIgerians are earnestly asking for Atiku.
“Bode George has enjoyed a beautiful career in the military. Unfortunately, as a politician that he claims to be, he is a disaster. And, if we are to admonish him, it may be time for him to quiet politics.
“If after all his great years of service to the country as a solider, he has condescended to being an errand old man to a little Wike or a Seyi Makinde, then he should be the one to take his counsel to Atiku. Age has begun to set in on him and he should rather rescue the little that remains of his integrity,” the group noted.
