IPOB Disowns Ihiala, Orsuihiteukwa Gunmen, Blame FG, States' Inactivity

A new and shocking twist has been added to the pervading insecurity rocking two South East neighbouring communities-Lilu community in Ihiala Council of Anambra State, and Orsuihiteukwa communiy in Orsu Council of Imo State.

Both communities have been held down, with their economic life wrecked by intense insecurity in the past six years with gunmen posturing as members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, or the Biafra Security Network, BSN. However, IPOB spokesman, Emma Powerful, in a Press Statement on Saturday, denied that these murderous group has anything to do with IPOB.

Powerful made the claim in response to media inquiry on their involvement in the prolonged insecurities in both Lilu and her neighbour, Orsuihiteukwa 

According to him, "IPOB has been consistent in saying that we are not involved in the insecurity happening in the South East," adding that the government is totally behind the insecurity going on in our region. He insisted that governors of the two state, Prof Soludo and Hope Uzodinma are responsible for the insecurity

Blaming Soludo, he pointed out that insecurity is staging a serious due largely to the banned he imposed on traders from going to their shops.

 The action, he said "will consequently provoke criminals to start using it as excuse and decoy to commit crimes in our land.

"We don't know why God Almighty gave Ndigbo persons like Soludo and Hope Uzodinma. He emphasized that

"IPOB have no hands in what is happening in Lilu and Orsuihiteukwa communities.

"Ndi Lilu and Orsuihiteukwa should go and ask Soludo and Uzodinma. 

"They know everything concerning the insecurity in these communities. They should go and ask them, after that IPOB will then come for rescue."

Meanwhile, Orsuihiteukwa Youths, under the aegis of Odinma Orsu Initiative, have been restless and are leaving no stone unturned in seeking Federal and State governments' quick intervention. The Youths believed that flushing out the gunmen need a dedicated all inclusive action to decimate them.

They doubted painfully if the Imo State government still recognize Orsuihiteukwa as part of the State. This they insist, is the reason there has not been government activities and presence in the community for a very long time. They lamented that even the active security arrangement working in their community was at their instance.
