Anambra Police Boss Condoles Family of Dead Officer

The Commissioner of Police, Ikioye Orutugu, has visited Police Mobile Force 29 Squadron in Amansea, Awka, on June 17, 2025, to condole with the family and officers over the loss of Inspector Okolie Amechi and the injury to another officer.
During the visit, CP Orutugu emphasized the importance of adhering to Police Operational Protocol, especially in the line of duty, and encouraged the personnel to remain focused and dedicated despite the loss.
The CP, who described the Police Mobile Force as his alma mater, highlighted the need for teamwork and pledged support to the squadron.
The Commander, ACP Nasiru Adamu Kaila, expressed gratitude for the CP's visit and empathy, promising to comply with his guidance and directives.
CP Orutugu was accompanied by senior officers, including three Assistant Commissioners of Police.
The visit demonstrates his commitment to the welfare and morale of personnel. He also provided a welfare package to the deceased's family and prayed for the quick recovery of the injured officer.
The Anambra State Police Command remains dedicated to maintaining peace and security, and CP Orutugu's visit serves as a reminder of the importance of teamwork, discipline, and empathy in policing.
