Indications have emerged that the Economic Community of West Africa States, ECOWAS, is getting set to launch a military offensive against the coupists in Niger.
This is coming despite the closure of the Nigerien airspace by its military Junta.
Report by @PhantomEyeHub says tension is mounting in the country following the impending ECOWAS military action.
According to the online news platform, the subregional group has already positioned a number of Alpha Jets, JF17 and F7 aircrafts, all of which have been strategically placed at a distance of approximately 345km from Niamey.
The development, the publication noted, is indicative of ECOWAS readiness to provide air support for its planned surgical operations in Niger.
