US Embassy Convoy Attacked in Khartoum
A US Embassy convoy has come under attack in the Sudanese capital, Khartoum.

A US Embassy convoy yesterday came under attack in Khartoum, the Sudanese capital on Monday.
Though no one is reported injured, the attack on the clearly marked embassy vehicles, denounced by embassy officials as coming from "indiscriminate military operations", happened on Monday.
US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, told newsmen that the attack is the handiwork men of the Rapid Support Forces, the paramilitary group battling Sudan's military.
The European Union's foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell, wrote in a tweet on Monday that its Ambassador to Sudan "was assaulted in his own residency,".
Although he did not add any detail, Africanews, quoting a Western diplomat in Cairo who spoke on the condition of anonymity, confirmed the incident. According to the diplomat, the EU Ambassador's residence was ransacked by armed men in RSF uniforms. The men also stole several items from the residence.
The RSF has denied involvement in the attack on the ambassador's home, pointing accusing fingers in the direction of the military.
The attack is one several others, including earlier assaults on aid workers and the EU envoy's residence in Khartoum.
Though casualty figures could be higher, UN reports say over 185 people, including about 144 civilians, have so far been killed.
The reported added that more than 1,800 others wounded in the bloody clash that began on Saturday.
The raging clash has prevented the removal of bodies from streets in some areas, prompting calls from within and outside Africa for a cessation of hostilities.
