Wike in panic mood , remains the major problem of PDP… Fabiyi

A member of the PDP and ally of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Hon Oladimeji Fabiyi, has said the Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike, has been the destructive element within the main opposition political party in the country.

Fabiyi was reacting to an interview granted by a media aide to Wike, Lere Olayinka, who Fabiyi described as “harbinger of falsehoods and malicious narratives.”

Fabiyi said that contrary to the falsehood being peddled by Olayinka,

“it is obvious to every Nigerian and, indeed, faithful party members that the only man who has been the major problem of the PDP is Minister Nyesom Wike.”

Fabiyi recalls that Minister Wike is renowned for his abrasive rhetoric when he was the governor of Rivers State, noting:

“We are witnesses to his destructive roles and behaviour in the local politics of Rivers State where he (Wike) was a pain in the neck of Governor Fubara led government and the Rivers people in general.

“We have also seen his negative energies being dissipated at the federal level of governance, with a plethora of complaints about how the FCT Minister has become a terror to FCT administration and land owners in the federal capital territory.

“In the PDP, too, Wike has constituted himself to be the lord of the manor,, under the subterfuge of an unimpressive acting National Chairman of the party, Amb. Damagun and few other recalcitrants NWC members to distabliise the party.

“ Fabiyi goes further saying that Atiku remains the toast of a vast majority of Nigerians who eagerly desire good governance.

“Lere and his errand-boy masters should be reminded that Atiku remains the toast and darling of Nigerians, and PDP members home and abroad; they know his antecedents and the capabilities and capacity he possess to lead Nigeria.

“The PDP as a party has been so kind to Wike and his fellow errand-boys sent to destroy the party.

“While Atiku continues to make concerted efforts to build the PDP with other like minds , Wike and his likes use their resources to destroy the party; the difference is very clear. If the current position of the party was what it was in the past, Wike and none of his gangs would have joined the PDP or benefitted from the party.

“The party hasn’t done one tenth of what was done to Atiku to Wike before he threw caution into the wind and began to malign and disrespect the party. Atiku has always been resilient, shown maturity and strong character that Wike and his gangs lack.

“For the education of Lere Olayinka, he should know that some people have played the spoiler like him in the past and the PDP triumphed over them.

“The lesson there is that there is nothing new in what Lere Olayinka is doing to the PDP and he should go and learn how others before him ended,” Fabiyi said.
