Buhari Dies in London Hospital

Nigeria's immediate past President, Muhammadu Buhari, is dead. The passong of the two time Nigerian leader, said to have occured Sunday in a London hospital where he was on admission for an undisclosed ailment, was announced by one of his former aides, Bashir Ahmad, on his X handle. 

“The family of the former president has announced the passing on of the former president, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, this afternoon in a clinic in London," he wrote in part.

He was Nigeria's Head of State between 1983 and 1985 before being ousted in a coup. In what is becoming a political fad set by Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, he became elected as Constitutional President in 2015 and got his second 4-year term renewed four years later, which extended to 2023.
