Court Affirms Sack of Monarch

The sack of Igwe Mac-Anthony Okonkwo's reign as the traditional ruler of Alor Community has been reaffirmed by the High Court Ogidi as Justice Chukwudi Nwankwo dismissed the fourth court challenge against Igwe Okonkwo, citing incompetence and lack of merit. The individuals who brought the case, including Mr. Uzoma Igbonwa and Mr. Ifeanyi Obiazi, were unsuccessful in their bid to oust Igwe Okonkwo.

Igwe Okonkwo, who has been on the throne for eleven years, expressed his gratitude to God and his subjects for their support. He emphasized that the traditional throne of Alor Community is rotational and commended his subjects for standing by him.

The court's decision was welcomed by members of the Alor Community, who celebrated Igwe Okonkwo's victory with twenty-one gun salutes. Chief Chukwuemeka Ikegwuogu, a member of the Igwe's Cabinet, praised the court's ruling, saying it shows that there are still judges who stand up for what is right.
