Nri Kingdom Sets for A New Era as Sir Gerald Ezeani Bags Ozo

Nri ancient Kingdom is set to witness the coming of a new as Chief Gerald Chukudi Ezeani wears the traditional Ozo title in Obiagu Nri.
The investiture ceremony took place on Saturday, November 22, 2025, in Obu‑Agu, Nri, Njikoka Council area of Anambra State.
The venue was heavy in traditional display accentuated the rhythmic beat of indigenous drums that greeted his acceptance speech.
Describing his investiture as the beginning of positive development for the community, Amidst applause from joyous members of the community, including dignitaries from far and wide, elders, fellow Ozos and ecstatic community villagers, who gathered at the village square to witness his coronation, Chief Ezeani pledged to uphold the sacred Igbo traditions while also embracing modern progress and development.
His speech was punctured by episodes of applause from the large crowd, a clear indication that his words resonated deeply with the people, who were glad with his investiture as a new member of the highly respected cultural group.
As he puts it, "with Chief Gerald Chukwudi Ezeani (Ozo Chimelueze) at the helm, the community should look forward to a brighter future rooted in tradition and driven by innovation."
