30 Graves Uncovered in Anambra Hotel
As residents worry over possibility ofvothers
Indigenes and residents of Oba, a sprawling community in Idemili South Council Area of Anambra state are in utter shock following the discovery of 30 graves inside the premises of a facility identified as LA Cruise Hotel.
The property, said to be registered as Udoka Golden Point Hotel and Suites but more known as La Cruise Hotel, came under scrutiny and hammer Saturday following what authorities described as its "sinister operations".
However, the more sinister discovery of the 30 graves was made during the process of demolition.
FreshNews learnt that alongside the graves, security operatives also unearthed a shrine within the premises said to have been used for rituals.
Meanwhile, FreshNews has forwarded enquiries for details to the state police command via its spokesperson, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu. However, no response had been received as at the time of filing this report.
The rather bizarre discovering in the facility located along bustling Onitsha-Owerri Expressway, has sent shock waves across the state, prompting worried individuals and groups to demand immediate action from the state government.
The concern is that there may be similar fronts may be scattered across the state. The state government is yet to issue an official statement on the disturbing development.
