Anambra Police Rescue Kidnap Victim, Neutralize Notorious Kidnapper

A joint security operation conducted by operatives of the Anambra Police Command, ha resulted in the rescue of a kidnap victim in Ihiala.

The operation also led to the recovery of the victim's shuttle bus and killing of a notorious kidnapper. 

The security team, comprising police, military, and vigilantes, intercepted a suspicious black shuttle bus with registration number RSH 

However, the armed occupants opened fire on the security team during which one of the assailants was neutralized in a gun duel. The other four escaped.

The rescued victim was found blindfolded, tied, and gagged inside the vehicle.

In its reaction, the command urged hospital proprietors to report any individuals with suspicious injuries or bullet wounds to the nearest police station. This measure, it assured, aims to apprehend the fleeing suspects and prevent further criminal activities in the state.
