Christmas Terror: ISWAP Attacks Military Bases With Armed Drones
*Attacks successfully repelled

In a manner that seems to have introduced a troubling dimension to terrorism in the country, the Islamic State of West Africa, ISWAP, on Saturday launched attacks on two military bases in North East Nigeria.
The revelation follows a coordinated attack by the terror group on the Forward Base, FOB, Damboa council area of Borno state.
However, the attack with mortars and small arms, which occurred about 1pm Christmas day, was successfully repelled by soldiers, forcing the attackers to flee in disarray.
The attack was followed, less than half an hour later with the deployment, the terror group, of multiple armed drones said to be equipped with locally fabricated grenades.
In another development, the terror group also launched a similar attack on the 27 Task Force Brigade Base in Buni Gari, nearby Yobe State.
