Ekweremadu Bags 10 Years in Prison
Former Senate Deputy President, Ike Ekweremadu, has been jailed for 10 years.

Old Bailey Court, London, on Friday, sentenced former Nigerian Senate Deputy President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, to 10 years in prison for organ harvesting.
The court also handed another 10 years sentence to his co-accused, Dr Obbina Obeta, whose professional certificate has been suspended indefinitely over the same offense.
The court however, handed down a four and a half years sentence to his wife, Mrs. Beatrice Ekweremadu.
During the trial that lasted six weeks, Prosecutor Hugh Davies, told the jury that Ekweremadu's behaviour was that of “entitlement, dishonesty and hypocrisy”.
He was convicted and sentenced, alongside his wife and Dr Obeta, of conspiracy to arrange the travel of a young Nigerian man who was identified as David Nwamini to Britain in order to exploit him for his kidney.
