House of Reps Loses Dep Chief Whip

The lower Chambers of the National Assembly, has lost its Dep Chief Whip, Hon Adewunmi Oriyomi Onanuga.
The passing of Hon Onanuga, representing Ikenne/Sagamu/Remo North Federal Constituency of Ogun State, was announced by the House Wednesday via a statement by its spokesperson on Wednesday.
The statement released by Akintunde Rotimi said she died on Wednesday after a brief illness.
The law maker who served as the chairperson of the House Committee on Women Affairs and Social Development in the 9th Assembly, was first elected into the green Chambers in 2019 on the aegis of the All Progressives Congress, APC, before being reelected four years later.
Born on December 2, 1965, she took up her last as Dep Chief Whip at the inception of the 10th Assembly.
"She was a dedicated public servant, a visionary leader, and a passionate advocate for her constituents," the statement by the House noted
