Tiwa Savage: Police Confirm Arrest of Alleged Abductors

The Criminal Investigation Department, CID, of the Nigerian Police, Alagbon, Ikoyi, Lagos, on Saturday confirmed the arrest of persons suspected to be involved in the alleged kidnap attempt of Afrobeat musician, Tiwa Savage. 

Spokesperson of the command, CSP Oluniyi Ogundeyi, made the confirmation in a chat with the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, in Lagos. 

”Yes, we have some suspects, they are in our custody. They are about four,” Ogundeyi told NAN.

The musician's alleged abduction, said to be the handiwork of her new domestic staff entrusted with vital information about her itinerary, was said to have been foiled by her private security guards and police operatives. 

The said staff was said to have monitored her movement as she left her home and shared the information with other members of the alleged kidnapping gang.
