Police Docks Ikwechegh
*As IGP reaffirms commitment to rule of law

Following his interrogation over a case of assault and threat of disappearance of a Bolt driver, Stephen Abuwatseya, the Nigerian Police has docked a House of Representatives member, Alexander Mascot Ikwechegh.
The development is contained in a press release issued and released by Force Public Officer, ACP Olumiyiwa Adejobi in Abuja on Wednesday.
According to the statement, the arraignment of the law maker is sequel to the conclusion of investigation conducted by the police.
The charges against Ikwechegh are “Abuse of Office, Criminal Intimidation and Criminal Force and Assault, described as contrary to Sections 397(b) and 265 of the Penal Code Act.
He was arraigned at the Kuje Magistrate Court.
Ikwechegh committed the said offences on the night of October 27 2024.
